ABWA Woman of the Year & Business Associate of the Year 2011
The Crabapple Chapter of the American Business Women’s Associates met at Sugo’s Restaurant in Roswell, Georgia for their monthly meeting. Heather Herrig, President and Crabapple Chapter: 2010 ABWA Woman of the Year, presented me, Pam Santoro, Realtor at Harry Norman Realtors, with the 2011 ABWA Woman of the Year Award. It was a real surprise and a great honor to be given this award. Next Heather Herrig presented Vicky Hartman of Ace Westchester with the 2011 ABWA Business Associate Award for their donations to Every Woman Works non-profit organization.
Our featured speaker was Jeffrey Plucker from Prospect MX. Jeff is a social media and marketing guru plus a published author of “ The Sport of Selling”. Terri Ann Leidich, President of Boutique of Quality Books, (Jeff’s publisher) and Cheryl L. Campbell, author of “Darling, The Curly Tailed Reindoe” also attended this special meeting.

Al Nash, Executive Director of the GNFCC Progress Partners of North Fulton, was the guest speaker at the Harry Norman Realtors - North Fulton office sales meeting this morning. The Progress Partners of North Fulton consist of the following six cities: Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, Roswell and Sandy Springs. They have combined their strengths, expertise, and unique communities to promote business, growth, and quality of life in the greater North Fulton area. The major businesses specialties in North Fulton are: health care, mission critical facilities, telecommunication data centers, logistics, insurance services and banks.
Al talked about promoting opportunity zones to attract new business in the North Fulton area. When asking businesses what they needed to create jobs? All responded, "Education." Gwinnett Technical College is going to open a campus in the North Fulton area. This will add to the other great universities in North Fulton. Another item discussed was a possible 10 year plan for more light rail in the area.
